EMERGING ARTISTS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

March 5 - May 7, 2022

Eurasia Festival’s Emerging Artists Fellowship Program offers unique opportunities for talented musicians from all over the world to explore the classical music legacies of Russia and Eurasia and to showcase their artistry with appearances on the festival's presentations in New York City.
The program is curated and taught by the festival’s founder and artistic director, internationally acclaimed pianist, vocal and chamber music coach, and conductor Aza Sydykov.
A graduate of Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory and New York’s Mannes School of Music, Maestro Sydykov serves as President of the Kyrgyz American Foundation in New York City, which sponsors the Eurasia Festival as well as various cultural exchange and educational programs.  He is also the co-founder of the Wilmington Music Festival in North Carolina and Olympia Arts, a creative solutions company for the performing arts. 
Emerging Artist Fellows will receive solo and chamber music repertoire assignments and will participate in weekly individual and group coaching sessions on Saturdays in preparation for festival presentations and performances in New York City.
Fellowship information:
All artist fellows will receive full scholarships to the study program and will be obligated to participate in all coaching sessions, rehearsals, and performances at the festival's public events and community outreach projects. 
Eligibility:
The 2022 EF Emerging Artists Fellowship program is open to singers, violinists, cellists, violists, flutists and clarinetists of any age and nation. 
Audition information:
Candidates should submit a video recording of two contrasting works of their choice.

 

Application procedure:
​Applications for online auditions must include the following materials:
  • A video recording (YouTube or Vimeo links).
  • A short resume and bio describing education and experience
Deadline: February. 7, 2022
 
An email confirmation will be sent to applicants upon receipt of completed application forms with all required materials. 
 
Candidates will be notified of their audition results by February 11, 2022.
Application Fee: 25 USD

Travel and accommodation:
All travel, meals, and accommodation expenses, including medical insurance, are the responsibility of the participants. Expenses incurred while taking part in the Festival program will not be paid or reimbursed. 
Liability:
The Eurasia Festival accepts no liability or responsibility for a participant’s illness or injury or for loss of or damage to a participant’s personal property during transit to or from the site(s) of Festival events or while participating in Festival activities. No expenses for medical costs or emergency services will be paid or reimbursed.
